Removing SQL 6.5 from a SQL 7 server

The boss hired an outside consultant to build a database in SQL. This started out in SQL 6.5 and quickly went to SQL 7. The server was upgraded to SQL 7 with removing SQL 6.5. SQL 6.5 does not show up in the add/remove programs. When running Veritas BackUp with the SQL option it picks up the SQL 6.5 on the server. The only way I can backup the SQL 7 database is to a copy command. How can I remove the SQL 6.5 off the server. SQL 6.5 databases are empty.
