Reopening checks

Hello, I’m trying to reopen a check in Micros 3700 although when i enter the check number it says ‘open on system’ and my only option is to hit okay. it’s 12/21 and the check is from 12/9. Can anyone help? Please and thank you. Happy Holidays!
