Returning to back to work

I do not know if you have the answer to my question but I will go ahead and post it
I graduated in 1998 with a degree in computer science – information system, and computer science – programming , worked for a year and half as information systems engineer
I have not been working for 12 years and the IT field is growing very fast
I really need to go back to work but I do not know what to do or where to start
Do you guys have any suggestion I truly need your help if you can or if anybody has any ideas.
