Routing in Win2K

by kevin anderson . Updated 25 years, 12 months ago

I run a small (8 pc) peer to peer home network. The “server” I currently use is a win98 PC with Three NICs. One nic (IP address 24.24.24.24) is for a cable modem. The second, (10.10.10.10) is a 10 Meg connection, the third, (10.10.10.100) is a 100Meg connection. With 98, I cannot route between 10.10.10.10 and 10.10.10.100. This means that I cannot see from one segment to the other, so I can’t (for example) play quake if the two PCs are on different segments. I will be moving the “server” PC to Win2000 Pro (not server). Does Win2K pro allow me to set up routing between the internal addresses, and if yes, how do I do it?

Thanks.
Kev.
