run time errors on resource guide cd

I have installed Microsoft SQL Server Resource Guide CD on my laptop running Windows XP.
The installed application will not run due to a run time error 2147221231(80040111)
“Automation error class factory can not supply requested class.”
Please advise where I can furhter information to resolve this problem.
