My client is running NW4.11 with approximately 125 users. I have installed TCP/IP, NES, Perl and all seemed to be successful. I am currently having problems configuring Netware/IP and DNS/DSS.
I am wanting to create a VERY BASIC INTRANET…mostly static HTML pages with PERL and a little javascript. The HTML will mainly be edited by key users.
As I am having trouble configuring Netware/IP and DNS/DSS (haven’t even gotten to the client-side of things yet), I decided to take a frustration break and ask this question:
*Is configuring Netware/IP, TCP/IP, DNS etc. etc. even NECESSARY if all I want to do is run PERL?*
My client will never turn this into an internet gateway (because of security reasons). They just want an area where they can disseminate info in a timely manner. And PERL is neccessary for dynamic calendaring, bulletin boards, etc.
All I want to do is to run PERL…not change my whole system configuration. Is there anyway around it?
Thanks!
