Got a department laptop running WinXp that we loan out for people going on trips and putting on presentations.
My coworker had made changes, that I just don’t understand and can’t fix on my own.
She removed the generic account with USER permissions.
I created a new account as I have a user that will need the laptop in a few days (He is on the Board of Execs, so it would be good to keep happy).
When I went to test the apps that he would need, all worked except for launching a terminal emulator we use. If you select either the desktop or from the START menu, you get a hour glass icon for a few seconds and then nothing.
If I right-click and run as administrator it opens right up.
I added the user to power-user and tried again. Still no deals.
How do I get this app to run for anyone and everyone?
The program is installed under “program files” and is not encrypted.
