Runtime Errors with IE

What causes runtime errors when using internet explorer and how would I get rid of them? My client is using Windows 2000 Professional and the IE version is #6 and the cipher strength is 128 bits. I’m thinking that the workers are running programs through the browser from different internet sites but I’m not really sure. They keep complaining about getting runtime errors. Thanx,
