Scripts not working…..

Why won’t these brilliant scripts you folks create work when used in my web pages. They work great up here on the web, but once I “cut and paste” or hard code “verbatim” (including the credits…of course) at home they malfunction. Use Allaire Homesite, Windows 2000Pro and XP OS. Homesite specifically will not validate semicolons …i.e. to group assignmment statements etc. nor will it accept the [ ] brackets to create some objects. …i.e. document[“textField”] instead of document.textField …( “VQS, Javascript for the World Wide Web, 3rd Ed
