security clerance

I have a interim security clerance and i gave fingerprint and other info for a higher clerance 8 months ago. But now I work for a diffrent company. Is there any way I can find out if I am cleared?? The agencey which had me apply for clearance did not hire me then because the contract was taking some more time at which i landed on another job. HELP!!!
