serial number on SCSI hard drives

I am trying to find someone out there that knows how to access the “manufactures” serial number on a SCSI hard drive while in windows NT. There are many programs out there but most of them require booting into a dos environment. If anybody has a clue or idea on how to do this I would really be thankful.
