Shareing files, printers, and DSL

I Have a 2 node network. I am able to share the internet via a 4 port linksys router. I am running WIN ME on both PC’s. DO I need a hub to share the files and printer? If so how do I connect a hub to the router so I will be able to share the internet.

Or can I install another NIC card on both machines and connect them via a cross over cable to share the files and printer?
