Recently a consultant upgraded my old Micron (P2 300 mhz)from 95 to 98se, in order for a Creative Labs CD-RW to work correctly. During the process he flashed the BIOS to the most current version. Everything appeared fine when he left. Several reboots showed nothing except that the BIOS doesn’t like the A: drive. however, w/ a F1 to continue the machine completes the reboots and Windows finds the A: drive. Now, the most annoying part. I left for the weekend and turned the machine off. Now, it takes a very long time (hours) to boot. I have to press the TAB key for POST and then just walk away for. Micron will not help because it is not the original O/S. I have obtained a lesser version of the BIOS and am contemplating going back to 95. Any suggestions?
Also it has affected printing (anything intense). I have reinstalled the print drivers more than once.
