Small script program or what may work?

I have 2 Director 8 .exe programs (slide shows) that I want to run continously and want to be a one key exit. I’ve done it in a batch program but I have to press twice, then close the dos window, then press again. Is there a way using script or is there another way? Need answer asap please.
