Sound problem between PC-DVD and TV.

I have SoundMax integrated digital audio and a Samsung DVD sd-616f. Rage Fury Pro display card.
When I use Windows Mediaplayer to see a DVD movie I have problems with the sound. If connect the soundcard directly to my TV or Video (SCART)the sound is very very low. But if I instead connect the soundcard directly to my stereo it sounds ok. Does anyone know how I fix the sound when connected directly to the TV.
