SP2 before or after registry clean up?

I am preparing to run one of the registry clean up utilities, & wonder if I should install SP2 before I do this. Gut feel is if it will make copies of a bloated registry with some junk in it, then I should clean up 1st & if system still works, install SP2.
What do yawl think?
