Spooler

Hi,

In some networks with Win Server 2k3, I’ve been noticing an annoying problem: suddenly the OS reports printers connected to PC shares as Offline.

Further research and testing, showed that the spooler (specifically the PRINTES folder) gets filled with lots of files. Manually emptying this folder in both PCs (client and server) seems to solve the problem. But the folder starts to fill up again from the next print on.

It seems there is no relation between OS’s. RAW/EMF make no difference either. AV software was configured to ignore the spooler folder and all subfolders. Permissions on PRINTER folders were granted to Everyone, Full Control.

Does any one has another idea?
