Structured programming in C/C++ & JAVA?

Hi,

I’m a new programmer and I’m having some problems with knowing how to properly structure programs, especially from data input/processing aspects. I have a few books on C/C++ and JAVA programming which don’t cover the proper methodologies whenbuilding programs.

I’m looking for some good documentation or tips on “How to plan & structure” my programs in the “best and effective” manner!? There’s a lot of code samples out there but I’m looking for methods and knowledge to have prior tostart coding!

I’d appreciate any of your comments/help!
