Task scheduler is missing from Services

by leonardd . Updated 21 years, 3 months ago

Task scheduler is missing from Services manager. I am also not able to install “task scheduler” by removing and re-installing Internet Explorer and/or SP4. Task Scheduler the program applet under System tools will launch, but complains the Task Scheduler service needs to be started. But when you say Yes, start the Service it fails.

Anyone with other methods of installing and starting the Service? The Server is a Windows 2000 Server running AD.

Thanks for you assistance.
