The “New…” command as a shortcut

Good day to all of you!
My name is Andy Gradinaru. I am truly your fan and I must say I`ve
learned a lot about computers since I first read your newsletters and
visit your website.
Now I have a question. How can we get rid of the shortcuts that
apear when we right click on the desktop and chose the “new” item? The
list is too long and slows the system.
