The Problem… The Solution?

I was always taught if your going to present a problem never do it without also presenting a solution. So do you have a solution/solutions besides the ordinary anti-virus/firewall solutions? I’m guessing that these get by those. I use AVG and have for years without any problems. I’ld love some intelligent input on this.
