time value problem in excel

I’m creating a staff clocking in system in Excel and having calculated in hours and minutes the time a member of staff has worked in a day i now need to be able to calculate amount of time in hours and minutes a member of staff has worked over 7.5 hours. Have tried various methods without success. Can anybody help? thanks
