Toshiba A100 PSAA2A bIOS PW REQEUST

Out of the blue this laptop wanted a password for the bios. What causes this problem, when no one hasnt requested to go into the bios.
After shorting out the bios reset “blobs” of solder, under memory, there is just the system trying to boot, with drives just starting up and the computer trying to boot, and no screen display. This would go in indefinitly if I let it.
No request for PW now
