Toshiba Satellite A205-S4607 Speaker Squealing

Hi all,

I recently replaced the fan on a Toshiba Satellite A205-S4607 and the fan did not work properly. On booting the computer there was no airflow from the fan and a high pitched squeal was produced from the left speaker. After desoldering the CMOS battery and letting it stay off over night before resoldering it this morning, the fan now works properly, however the speaker is still squealing and I’m at a loss for how to stop the noise.

Any ideas?
