Toshiba satellite laptop

by anneo48 . Updated 16 years, 1 month ago

I’m recently retired and I believed I was buying a quality product when I purchased a Toshiba Satellite laptop. However, after owning it for around 10 weeks, the keyboard was starting to slightly concave, the hibernation didn’t work and then the screen went completely black. I made this purchase at BestBuy with extended warranty etc. and when I took it back to resolve these problems, I was asked for an additional $100.00 to ensure that my information would be saved. I’m on a fixed income of a modest amount and I was told that if I wanted a loaner, I would have to buy one. I thought that maybe a customer relations person at Toshiba would be of some help. Boy, I was definitely wrong in my assumption there. It will take 4 to 6 weeks to repair and then I may not have any inf on it…What a way to stand behind their product!!!!! I will never purchase another Toshiba product and neither will my friends or family. I’m going to notify AARP as well to warn other seniors about the shabby treatment from these companies.
