Transfer emails from apple mail to thunderbird (mac)

Looking for a solution to transfer emails from apple mail to thunderbird which I run in mac book pro. I have found no import option in thunderbird for apple mail. So can we carry out this task of migrating emails from apple mail to thunderbird.
