Trouble With Activating “Print Preview” Feature

I own a HP Deskjet 3940 printer. Lately, when trying to print, I’m unable to activate the “Print Preview” feature on my PC screen. I’ve tried everything to no avail. Can anyone help me? I keep receiving a massage “internal error must be resolved before Internet explorer can print”
