I run XP Pro – I use 3 spyware programs that I run atleast once a day: Spy Sweeper Spybot and Noadware. I also run McAfee Virus Scan.
Problem 1 Internet Eplorer will open a page and then shutdown immediately with no error message. This only happens with some wesites for which I am unable to determine similarities that would cause this probelm. Interestingly, if I hold down the shift key only when the site opens IE functions normally for the entire time I am on the site.
Problem 2 After an indeterminant period of time or launching of IE, it will fail to open anything. It closes without even attempting ( as far as I can tell) to open the page. Again there is no error message when this happens and I have to restart the computer to get it working again.
I know I can use Mozilla or another browser but I’ve used IE for so long I would like to fix the problems.
