two poetic memories

by john.a.wills . Updated 5 years, 8 months ago

In the mid- or late-1950s or the early 1960s I came across these two extracts from poems:
1.[talking of a helicopter].. the beetle with the whirling claw
that grips the winds invisible hair
and cancels Newton’s law.
2 Love is the longest lever time has known

Christ threw his bloody weight against the cross
…….Adam’s loss

Both were quoted in a magazine article entitled something like “Poet in the Marketplace”, perhaps in Reader’s Digest, perhaps in Catholic Digest. I think the poet’s name was Sullivan, but I am not sure of that, and cannot find him in Wikipedia. Can anyone give me a reference?
