unable to browse from Internet explorer 7 while I can browse using Firefox

This problem started after I made a windows update to my PC, and downloading IE7 with that update,but I realize that Internet Explorer 7 cannot open any page or website on the other hand I can use MSN messenger and browse from Firefox, is there any solution to this problem?

I tried to clear history, delete cookies and failed to system restore because I didn’t set a check point, which was a bad idea ..
please help me solve this problem.
