***Updated*** Wireless Routers stop assigning IP addresses everyday…

by ddemuth78 . Updated 15 years, 3 months ago

Two (unsecured) Wireless routers, used for Customer waiting area Wi-Fi access, drop connections and then connect intermittently.

I have had this problem since they were initially set up (2-years ago, i know…) I have recently replaced the original D-Links with two different Brand routers. Both of them are connected to a switch. Connected to this switch, other than the two wireless routers is a firewall and our T1 router. I have listed the equipment models in descending order from the T1 router down.

(1) T1 Router – Adtran Netvanta 3200

(2) Switch – D-Link DSS-8+

(3) Wireless Router – Netgear WNR834Bv2
Wireless Router – Belkin F5D8233-4v3
Firewall – SonicWall TZ190

***UPDATE***

Since my initial post I have updated the firmware on both routers, which seemingly improved the symptoms, meaning they do not require a cycle to allow clients to connect, but instead go in and out of service intermittently (less often then before).
