Upgrading / Configuring HP320LX

I have an HP320LX, with 4mb ram and WinCE 1.0.

Because I received this product for free, I thought I could turn it into a kind of project. I then decided it would be neat to turn it into an mp3 player for the car, being touch screen made it even more appealing.

Unfortunately, as mentioned above, it has winCE 1. Admittingly, I have not done too much research into this, but I have come to the conclusion that I need winCE 3 to play mp3’s with any type of third party software.

Does anyone know the upgradibility of palmtops? I would really like to get this on the road so to speak.

Or has anyone else ever done this?
