Upgrading CPU in Acer Aspire 5050

I am trying to upgrade my CPU in my Acer Aspire 5050 laptop. I went from a MK-38 Single Core AMD Turion to a TL-60 Dual Core AMD Turion.

The problem I am having is a flashing light under the “mail” button. The laptop would power on, and got through POST and BIOS fine, but now it flashes like it has a short or is losing power.

What could be the problem? I have taken apart the laptop twice, and found nothing unusual, no loss wires, no other problems.
