USB 2 or 3

I have a 2009-2010 Dell Laptop Inspiron R15 N5110, with 3 USP ports.
1 is color coded dark grey/black which the other 2 are color coded light blue.
A) Is there any significance to this color coding by Dell?
B) Are you aware of a timeline for consumer pricing on SS drives in the 500GB range, as I us powerhouses such as the Adobe suites?
