Using Auto Correct and AutoText entries

My company uses a number of custom design forms. They have been saved as protected templates in MSWord 97. We had a number of AutoText entries that we apparently could not use in the protected forms (?). So we set up AutoCorrect entries instead.The field will accept the abbreviation for the AutoCorrect entry, but will not expand to accomodate the entire word or words. Does anyone have a solution?
