O.k. people :
I’ve been a programmer for many years and have just retired. I am being asked to perform the following task (in retirement) and I haven’t a clue. I’d like to know how to do the following without having to learn the entire Internet theory and programming languages. I feel I have been remiss in keeping up with the latest stuff , like the Internet, made complacent by my many years in the area and with the same government agency (I built an Osborne from scratch way back in time – anybody remember the Osborne ?).

I want to be able to do what I do with a LAN/WAN situation but using the Internet: is this possible ?
Currently I mount several Access database(s) (for my several small data size applications) on the server and map a drive on all the local machines to point to that database and I can use it as if it were on their local drives. the question is what is the easiest (in learning time) way to make this happen on the Internet, if it’s even possible. Keep it simple for the old brain to absorb.

My people who work outside the office, and don’t always have a method of linking to the LAN/WAN, would be very grateful to you if you have an answer. I haven’t used this before so if I’m supposed to here’s my e-mail : n.harleynovoa@verizon.net.
