VB for Excel and Power pt

I need to know whether or not i can use VB to have excel update the date when i update the excel spreadsheet with multiple pages. and how to put the same type of thing in a powere point brief, both of these date being visible and printable. I have very little experience with VB just learning to use it to my advantage on word. thanks
