VB Keyboard Call Functions bugging out

Running a VB Application that allows the user to remap the functions of the enter key and tab keys. Runs great under Windows 98. When we installed Windows 2000 SP1 we hit a snag – the keyboard randomly locks up. Appears to be a problem with VB keyboard calls and Win2K SP1. Uninstalled SP1 to no avail. Due to other issues rolling back to 98 is not an option.Is there a work around for VB Keyboard Call Functions bugging out with Win2k SP1? Did the un-install not restore a required file?
