VB networking

hi good day to everyone.. i have a question on a networking.. is it ok to make a program in VB that will run on 2-5 computer’s using only a LAN CARD, i will not use a postigre or mySQL. is there any problems arising. please give comments, suggestions or ideas.. tnx
