I have written a VB6 Database Application. It runs fine in the compliler. But when I try to install it on the PC it is to work on, which is running Windows 2000, I get a message saying “Some of the finle on your system are out of date, Click OK toupdate them.”. So I CLICK Ok, I am then asked if I want to restart my computer, and told I will not be able to run setup again until I have restarted the Computer, so I CLICK Yes.
When the system restarts I start my setup program again, and repeat this process until I am blue in the face. I have installed other programs I have written with VB5 and VB6, these seem to install OK. I have installed the application on the development PC, it installs OK.
Does anyone know a fix for this problem? I have had it in the past on Windows 95 and 98, but have managed to get around the problem by installing the program in safe mode, I have tried this on the Windows 2000 PC, but it still wants to update some files.
Help me please.
