View messages in a TAB in Outlook 2010

So, I just moved from Notes to Outlook 2010 and couldn’t wait to have that happen. But, now, I see an issue in Outlook. When I open a message from the InBox to view, it opens in a new Window and not a tab! Also, each message is opening in different size and location on the screen? Even if I resize the window once and open the next message, it does not remember the last ‘view setting’! Is there any way to have all messages – read – forward – create etc to open Within Outlook in a new file tab? Thanks for the help!
