We have a customer that that we recently installed a network for. They were running terminals off of a unix box but wanted to upgrade to a PC Network. We went in and set up the peer to peer network on 8 Windows 9x machines. Everything went well. Some of the PCs were brand new and some were old existing machines. For the old w\ones we had to install 10/100 ethernet cards. We had also installed a copy of Winproxy 3.0 on an old pentium 75 machine which was their only connection to the internet. Again everything worked fine. I just got a fax from the customer saying that the Winproxy machine has been acting up (locking up etc..)
They were getting an error at boot up as follows: c:\windows\system\vmm32.vxd : missing/unable to load. They can now only start up in Safe Mode. Does anyone have any ideas of what might be causing this???
