VPN Issue over Internet…

Have a client who is attempting to use Microsoft PPTP to use VPN to connect to a network through the internet… For some reason… it will not connect… it works if they RAS into the network server and then VPN (yes I know it’s redundant… but itwas a test…) but it only works for one connection… (if they use the VPN over RAS and disconnect… no RAS connection will work anymore…) The machines involved are NT 4.0 (Server and Workstation) SP5… using the TCP/IP protocol… with fixed IP addresses… any ideas would be appreciated…
