website update tracker

I’m curious as to if anyone would be willing to program a tiny utility for me. The utility would do the following:

allow the user to enter a website, and a duration for checking

The application would queary the website behind the scenes, and check the byte size of the site. If any change in the byte size occured, the application would send an e-mail notification to an address.

Can anyone offer some suggestions?
