Weirdy with Thunderbird and ‘buntu 7.10…

Thunderbird mail client (v. 2.0.0.6) on Ubuntu 7.10. My google searches (via google toolbar incorporated into Firefox browser toolbar) are being added to my Contacts. Any thoughts about how to stop this?
