Some common challenges include application dependencies, data migration, network connectivity, identity management, security, downtime planning, and unexpected cloud costs.
I think one of the most important steps is assessment before migration. Organizations should understand their workloads, dependencies, performance requirements, and business priorities before deciding whether to rehost, refactor, replatform, or modernize an application.
Another area that is sometimes overlooked is post-migration optimization. Moving workloads to Azure is only the beginning; organizations also need to monitor performance, security, and costs after migration.
