After having some Windows updates a user rebooted his computer and after that he lost his MS Excel file (2007) that was saved on his Desktop. Whe where able to find the file back in his mail.
The question is what is the reason of losing desktop files after Win update? Whe do not know if its because of the updates this problem did not only happen to just one user but also to another. But another strange thing is that when the user saves a file in a folder than he does not lose it only when its a loose file.
The only things that the users have in common is that they both have google toolbar installed (reason is because of flashplayer installation forgot to uncheck the toolbar part) and the Windows updates.
If someone has had the same problem please let me know. And if someone knows where to look please let me know.
ps. Whe have already told the users not to save files on there Desktop if needed to plase only shortcuts)
