What does this code mean ?

I am trying to understand what the code means to a kids game of memory, if anyone is interested in trying to help a beginner. It is a small little game but some of the code still does not make sense. It is like the card game you played as a kid where you flip the cards and try to get a match. This game uses fruit. Please respond if interested in helping me.
