What is this: "Windows – No Disk"?

by r_olivarez . Updated 14 years, 8 months ago

I’m running Windows XP Pro on a Pentium class machine and after booting, up pops a dialog box that reads:

“Windows – No Disk
Exception Processing Message c0000013 Parameters 75b6bf7c 4 75b6bf7c 75b6bf7c
Cancel, Try Again, Continue”

Pressing any of the buttons does not close the dialog box, it just keeps returning
I’ve checked the web without much understanding of the few explanations that I found and the remedies do not seem to solve the problem.

Anyone know what it is about and how to get rid of it? I thought that it maybe a virus, because using the back up copy of the files I wanted to keep, I ended up transferring it to a reformatted hard drive with a fresh copy of Windows XP installed. Anti-virus software does not see it as a virus or as a Trojan. I could use help in getting rid of it.

Thanks in advance,
