Which network is best for a new comer?

I am new to networking, real new, looking for
the easiest network to setup to get a two
company consolidation underway. Which
networking system would be best for me to
setup and learn on the go? I have a five
port minihub at present for four computers
and soon to include three embroidery machines
and a new server.
